"So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now?.....And he gave this wonderful message of reconciliation. SO WE ARE CHRIST'S AMBASSADORS..."~2 Cor 5:6

Reality Check. Imagine, back in the day, meeting Jesus in the street and poking f
un at what he's wearing, how he's talking, the way he's walking or even who he's with. Now imagine how you feel when he pushes you out of the way of the oncoming car and gets hit himself. Pretty shitty eh? People did judge Christ in the only way they knew how. But we know better because we know there is so much more to life than a human's point of view. So next time you go to judge somebody for whatever reason, check yourself because you have no idea what that person can do or who that person could be.

"Two people are better than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls. the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, 2 people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple braided cord is not easily broken" ~Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

What a great message for a youth group, a leadership team, a congregation or a friendship. We were designed to live in a community of brothers and sisters through our salvation. We were designed to support one another, talk to one another and fight for one another. We can't walk the Christian journey alone. We need help from one another. Accountability is so important and we are all responsible for letting others hold us accountable and holding others accountable. It's how we grow as a kingdom and how our relationship with God grows stronger.

Who is holding you accountable for the decisions you make?

I just got back from a really awesome mission trip to Toronto. We worked with Urban Promise at their summer camps and we saw the sights and we had a little retreat at the end. Some may say it was more laid back than you're average missions trip but it met every team member where they needed to be met and everyone has returned having served God with UP and within the team.

One of my favorite times with the group was our little devotional times in the evenings. Those 5mins each evening were so special and uplifting that it inspired me to try it out more often. I thought of a facebook group, and thought of my main blog but neither fit so I started a little sub-blog, solely for devotional messages. Feel free to share your own devotionals or comment on mine.

peace out x
